Rory Patrick Feehan

Rory Patrick Feehan, PhD, is a Hunter S. Thompson Scholar and the founder of He graduated with a doctorate in English Language & Literature from the University of Limerick in 2018. He has spoken at Gonzofest, Louisville and at The Speed Art Museum, Louisville, on the opening night of their exhibit, Gonzo: The Illustrated Guide to Hunter S. Thompson. He most recently contributed an essay on Thompson to Margaret Harrell's The Hell's Angels Letters and also contributed a piece on Thompson to the encyclopedia American Political Humor: Masters of Satire and Their Impact on U.S. Policy and Culture which won the 2020 Outstanding Reference Source awarded by the RUSA and also won Best Reference of 2019 awarded by Library Journal. He is currently working on a monograph of Hunter S. Thompson that focuses on the 'Hunter Figure' in the early writing of Hunter S. Thompson.
