Angela M. Brommel

Angela M. Brommel is a Nevada writer and curator with Iowa roots. Mojavein July  (Tolsun Books) is her debut full-length poetry collection. In2018, her chapbook, Plutonium & Platinum Blonde, was published byServing House Books. Her poetry has been published in The Best AmericanPoetry blog, the North American Review, The Literary Review’s(TLR) Share, and many other journals and anthologies. Her poem, “Home MeansNevada” was honored with the  2017 Helen Stewart Poetry Award. A 2018 RedRock Canyon Artist in Residence, Angela served as the inaugural poet of theprogram. In 2021 she was a finalist for Clark County Poet Laureate. She earnedan MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University and an MA in Theatre fromthe University of Northern Iowa. Angela is the Executive Director of the Officeof Arts & Culture and affiliate faculty at Nevada State College.
